Manacor escapes the yellow warning for high temperatures activated in other areas of the Balearic Islands. The mercury will reach 36 degrees with a maximum feels-like temperature of 45.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued a yellow warning for maximum temperatures this Friday in several regions of the province, but Manacor is not included in that alert. The capital of Llevant will experience a day of intense heat, although it will not reach risk thresholds.

According to AEMET's forecast, thermometers in Manacor will register a maximum of 36 degrees, while the minimum will remain at 23. However, the feels-like temperature will be stifling: up to 45 degrees during the peak hours of the day. The sky will start cloudy in the early morning but will clear by mid-morning and remain so until the afternoon, when mist will return.

Wind and weekend outlook

The wind will blow lightly from the southeast, with no notable gusts. For tomorrow, Saturday, AEMET predicts a mostly clear sky and similar temperatures: a maximum of 37 degrees and a minimum of 22. On Sunday, however, the thermometer will rise to 38 degrees, although the minimum will stay at 22. On both days, the wind will continue to be light from the southeast.

Across the island, Palma will record maximums of 35 degrees and minimums of 25, with clear skies in the morning and few clouds by the end of the day. In other towns like Castelldefels, temperatures will be milder: 31 maximum and 24 minimum.

Recommendations for dealing with the heat

The City Council of Manacor reminds residents that, although there is no warning, high temperatures require caution. Drink water frequently, avoid sun exposure during peak hours, and pay attention to the elderly and children are the basic guidelines. The feels-like temperature of 45 degrees can cause heat strokes if precautions are not taken.

AEMET's data is provisional and may be updated in the coming hours. It is recommended to check the agency's website to follow the evolution of the warnings.
