The La Beata 2026 festivities will be held in Valldemossa from July 17 to 28 with an extensive programme that includes tradition, music, sports, and religious events in honour of Santa Catalina Tomàs.

The municipality of Valldemossa is preparing to experience eleven days of intense festive activity with the 2026 edition of the La Beata festivities. From July 17 to 28, the streets of the village will be filled with music, dances, processions, and popular events that pay tribute to Santa Catalina Tomàs, the only saint born in Mallorca.

The programme kicks off on Friday, July 17 at 22:00 with the theatrical performance "Poble petit, merder gran" by the Grup de Teatre Joves de Valldemossa in the courtyard of CEIP Nicolau Calafat. An event that promises humour and local flavour to whet the appetite.

Proclamation of the Hereva and Popular Revetlla

Saturday, July 18 is one of the most anticipated days. At 18:30, a Cercavila with the Banda de Música de Montuïri will parade through the streets of the town centre. At 20:00, the Novena of Santa Catalina Tomàs will begin at the Parròquia de Sant Bartomeu.

Later that night, at 22:15, the proclamation of the Hereva and the Damas d’Honor will take place, followed by the Pregó of the festivities in the Plaça de Cartoixa. Afterward, apricot cake and muscatel wine will be distributed among attendees. The night continues with the Revetlla featuring Orquestra Galatzó, La Década Prodigiosa, and DJ Joan Rigo.

Sports, tradition, and the Carro Triomfal

On Sunday, July 19, the final of the La Beata Padel Tournament will take place (18:00), and there will be a Ball de Bot workshop and a Ballada Popular with the Grup DA-LI CEBES in the Plaça de Cartoixa (18:30). On Monday, July 20, it will be the turn of the Torneig de Futbet Beata 2026 with the semifinals at 20:00 and 21:00 in the courtyard of CEIP Nicolau Calafat.

The highlight arrives on July 27. At 11:00, there will be a mass and Processó solemne in honour of Santa Catalina Tomàs, followed by a concert by Tomeu Penya at 22:00 in the Plaça de Cartoixa. The grand day, July 28, begins with the Cercavila (11:00), continues with the solemn mass (12:00), and culminates at night with the departure of the emblematic Carro Triomfal, accompanied by the Beateta, the Cort d’Angelets, music bands, and the Xeremiers de Sa Garriga. This parade, declared a Good of Cultural Interest, is the most representative event of the festivities and one of the symbols of Valldemossa.

For locals and visitors, these dates are a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the most authentic Mallorcan culture. The streets are adorned, bars and restaurants offer special menus, and the festive atmosphere can be felt in every corner. If you still have no plans for the end of July, Valldemossa awaits you with open arms and a programme that leaves no one indifferent.
