The AEMET activates the yellow alert for high temperatures in the Balearic Islands, but Manacor is excluded from the warning. On Friday, thermometers will reach 36 degrees, feeling like 41.

This Friday, Manacor will experience a day of intense heat but without reaching the alert levels that the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has declared for other areas of the Balearic Islands. The yellow alert for maximum temperatures, active from early morning, does not affect the capital of Llevant, which will record maximums of 36 degrees and a thermal sensation that could reach 41 degrees.

Friday: morning clouds and stifling heat

According to AEMET, the sky in Manacor will start the early hours with clouds that will dissipate around 06:00, giving way to clear intervals during the morning and afternoon. At night, clouds will reappear. Minimum temperatures will hover around 24 degrees, slightly above the 22 of this Thursday.

The wind will blow lightly from the east, with no significant gusts expected. The maximum thermal sensation will be 41 degrees, a figure to consider for those who need to carry out outdoor activities.

“The maximums will suffer drops that will result in temperatures of around 36 degrees at about 15:00,” states the AEMET report.

Saturday: few clouds and similar temperatures

On Saturday, the outlook will improve slightly in terms of cloud cover, with a sky with few clouds throughout the day. Maximum temperatures will remain at 36 degrees, while the minimum will drop to 23 degrees. Winds will continue to be light from the east.

For the residents of Manacor planning outdoor activities, Saturday presents itself as a somewhat more stable day, although the heat will remain intense. AEMET recommends constant hydration and avoiding the central hours of the day.

Sunday: heat peak reaches 38 degrees

Sunday will be the hottest day of the weekend in Manacor, with a forecast maximum of 38 degrees and a minimum of 21 degrees. The sky will remain with few clouds, and the wind will shift to a southeast component, also light.

However, the nights will be somewhat cooler, allowing for a more bearable rest. AEMET does not foresee rain for any of the three days, so beach or terrace plans are assured, always with sun protection and water on hand.

Across the Balearic Islands, the yellow alert for heat remains active for this Friday, although Manacor is excluded from the warning. That does not mean the heat will not be felt: the 41 degrees of thermal sensation are a warning for the most vulnerable, such as the elderly and children.
