The Monarch will land on the island to preside over the traditional audiences with the island's authorities at the Palace of Almudaina, an unmissable appointment in his agenda before private holidays.
Queen Sofia is the first member of the Royal Family to arrive in Mallorca. She has been at the Marivent Palace since last week, according to the Royal Household. Over the coming days, Queen Letizia and their daughters, the Princess of Asturias and Infanta Sofia, are expected to join, arriving at the end of the week.
The Monarch's agenda will kick off early in the morning with a meeting with the President of the Balearic Islands, Marga Prohens; the President of the Balearic Parliament, Gabriel Le Senne; the Mayor of Palma, Jaime Martínez Llabrés; and the President of the Mallorca Council, Llorenç Galmés. This marks a significant change from previous years, when the authorities were from left-wing parties, such as the then President Francina Armengol or the leader of Podemos, Baltasar Picornell.
