The former Swiss tennis player Roger Federer was seen on Friday at the Son Gual Golf Course in Palma, where he enjoyed a day of golf with several companions.

Roger Federer has once again chosen Mallorca for one of his summer getaways. On Friday, the Swiss was spotted at the Son Gual Golf course, on the Palma-Manacor road, near the Sant Jordi neighbourhood. The complex itself shared an image on Instagram of the smiling tennis player alongside a woman, confirming his presence on the island.

A day of golf at Son Gual

According to the club's social media posts, Federer played a round at the Mallorcan course. In the images, the former world number one is seen in sports attire: a white polo, beige shorts, a cap, and white trainers. The club accompanied the photo with the text "Roger Federer enjoying a round of Golf in Son Gual".

In addition to the main photo, the Son Gual Instagram profile shared several stories showing the Swiss posing with fans. In one, he appears without a cap alongside a supporter; in another, he stands with a group of four men. Federer has not posted any images of his stay on his own social media so far.

Federer, a regular in Mallorca

This is not the first time the Basel tennis player has chosen the island for his holidays. In July 2025, Federer was photographed at Pula Golf alongside his great friend and rival Rafael Nadal. On that occasion, the Swiss shared several images of the day on Instagram with the message: "Anyone willing to face us?".

During that same trip, Federer visited the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor, where Nadal guided him through the facilities and some residents were able to take photos with both of them. The last time they were seen together before that was on May 25, at the tribute Roland Garros paid to Nadal on the Philippe Chatrier court.

Mallorca has become a recurring destination for Federer, who has expressed his appreciation for the island on several occasions. His visits often include days of golf, one of his great hobbies off the court, and meetings with Nadal, with whom he has maintained a close friendship since their competitive years.

A luxury tourist attraction

The presence of a global figure like Federer in Mallorca does not go unnoticed. For tennis and golf lovers on the island, seeing the Swiss at a local course is an incentive. Those who approach Son Gual these days may be lucky enough to run into him, although the club has not confirmed whether he will play again in the coming days. For now, fans can follow the golf course's Instagram stories to stay updated on his movements.

Federer's visit reinforces Mallorca's image as a luxury destination for elite athletes. He is not the only one: Rafa Nadal, Novak Djokovic, and Carlos Alcaraz have also been spotted on the island in recent years. But seeing Roger Federer smiling on a Mallorcan course is always a point of pride for residents.
