Strike at Swissport in Palma Airport: four days of stoppages in July and August

Employees of the handling company Swissport at Son Sant Joan have announced partial stoppages on July 28 and August 1, 4, and 8. The lack of agreement with management over salary improvements and working conditions has led to the call.

The Swissport staff at Palma Airport have said enough is enough. After months of negotiations with no progress, the workers of the handling company have called for four days of partial strike that will affect flights during peak summer hours. The stoppages will take place between 7:00 and 12:00 and between 19:00 and 22:00 on July 28, August 1, 4, and 8, according to CCOO.
