Manacor will experience a day of intense heat this Wednesday, but within the norms of summer. The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated the orange alert for maximum temperatures in the province of the Balearic Islands, but the municipality of Llevant is spared from the warning. Thermometers will register a maximum of 37 degrees, a figure similar to that of Tuesday, while the minimum will remain at 25 degrees.
The day will start with few clouds from dawn until 06:00 hours. Early in the morning, the clouds will evolve and tend to disappear, leaving a clear scenario for the rest of the day. Winds will be light from the east, barely perceptible.
Thursday and Friday: more heat and no rain
Thursday will be another clear day in Manacor, with maximum temperatures rising to 39 degrees, two degrees higher than Wednesday. The minimum will drop slightly to 22 degrees. The winds, light from the south, will not alleviate the muggy feeling.
On Friday, with no precipitation in sight, the outlook will be of few clouds. The maximum temperature will drop to 35 degrees, while the minimum will remain stable. Breezes will blow from the southeast, also light.
Weekend: clouds and relentless heat
On Saturday, the skies will become cloudy, but with no risk of rain. The maximum will rise again to 37 degrees and the minimum will be 24. The wind will be calm, making the thermal sensation even higher.
Sunday will arrive with cloudy intervals and a maximum that will drop to 33 degrees. The minimum will hardly change, remaining at 23 degrees. The light wind from the east will be the only relief for the residents of Manacor planning outdoor activities.
AEMET reminds that, although Manacor is not under orange alert, it is advisable to avoid sun exposure during the hottest hours of the day and to stay hydrated. The forecasted temperatures for Thursday, reaching 39 degrees, are close to the warning threshold, so caution should be heightened.
For those planning to enjoy the beaches of the municipality, such as Cala Varques or Porto Cristo, the light wind guarantees a calm sea, ideal for a swim. However, with sunscreen and plenty of water, as the sun in Llevant does not forgive.
