Saona Talenfut and Bas3fut secured their place in the semifinals of the COTIF Promeses Istobal in the Benjamín Primer Año category. The Mallorcan teams overcame their respective quarter-finals in the Diamond Phase of the tournament held in Els Arcs.

The Mallorcan representation in the COTIF Promeses Istobal for the Benjamín Primer Año category is still alive. Saona Talenfut and Bas3fut managed to secure their tickets to the semifinals of the Diamond Phase this Saturday after winning their respective quarter-final matches, played in the Valencian town of Els Arcs.

Saona Talenfut triumphed 3-1 against Sigma Football Academy in a closely contested match. The team, led by the Mallorcan coaching staff, took advantage of key moments to tip the score in their favour. The goals came at crucial times, and the defence managed to maintain the lead against the opponent's attempts to respond. With this result, Saona places itself among the four best teams in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Bas3fut achieved a thrilling victory of 4-2 against Panthers FC Academy. The match, described as very entertaining, featured four high-quality goals. Aritz Beltrán put Panthers ahead with a long-range shot that hit the crossbar before going in. Bas3fut's response was swift: a collective play finished by Izan Martínez equalised the contest.

The Mallorcan team combined effectively to reach the area, while Panthers inflicted damage with shots from outside. Bas3fut's comeback came with a through ball to Noel Martos, who did not miss in the one-on-one. However, Panthers equalised again in the next play with a powerful strike from Xavier Nastasia. The score would not change in the second half, as both teams reduced their intensity.

In the Diamond Phase, Unisport Academy also progressed, thrashing C.E Alberic 6-0, with a stellar performance from Martín Pérez. Valencia CF, for its part, came back against Top Unisport Sedaví (4-1) with a brace from Lucas Cubas. In the Silver Phase, Carlet E.M.F overcame U.E L'Alcúdia on penalties (1-1, 4-3) and Next Level Albés defeated Futurtec Academy 3-0.

The participation of the Mallorcan teams in the COTIF, a prestigious tournament in grassroots football, is a showcase for the young talents of the island. Saona Talenfut and Bas3fut will now face high-level opponents in search of a place in the grand final. The tournament, held annually in Els Arcs, brings together some of the best youth academies in the national landscape.

Next Sunday, the semifinals will take place, where the Mallorcan teams will try to take another step forward. The fans are eagerly following the progress of these young footballers, who proudly represent Mallorca in a leading competition.
