The new Leapmotor B05 is now on the roads of Mallorca. Stellantis & You Palma, located on Aragón Street, has received the first units of the electric compact from the Chinese brand, which has generated unexpected excitement among drivers on the island.
The dealership has confirmed that 23 orders for the model have already been formalised, many of which were made without customers having seen the car in person. This week, the first unit has been delivered in Mallorca.
“We have been very surprised by the attention it has received from the public, as we have generated 23 orders without people having seen it. This week we have already delivered the first unit,” explained Pedro Llinàs, manager of Stellantis & You Palma.
The B05 is Leapmotor's first electric sports vehicle and arrives in Europe with a proposal that combines coupé design, advanced technology, and dynamic driving. The brand defines it with the phrase “Sporty elegance, everyday excitement.”
In terms of design, the B05 features a wide silhouette inspired by a coupé, with a shoulder width of 1,880 millimetres, frameless doors, hidden handles, blade-shaped lighting signatures, and aerodynamic 19-inch alloy wheels. Its drag coefficient is 0.26, which improves efficiency and performance.
The interior focuses on comfort, with eco-leather upholstery, a panoramic roof, heated seats, and multiple storage solutions. The cabin is designed for ease of use and quality materials.
Developed with the collaboration of Stellantis's global chassis team, the B05 has been specifically tuned for the European market. It features rear-wheel drive, a 50:50 weight distribution, and McPherson front suspension and multi-link rear suspension.
The electric propulsion system offers 218 hp (160 kW) and a maximum torque of 240 Nm, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. It includes a Launch Control mode for a sportier start.
It has two battery options: 56.2 kWh with up to 401 kilometres of WLTP range and 67.1 kWh with up to 482 kilometres. Fast charging allows for a charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 17 minutes.
In terms of technology, the driving position includes a 14.6-inch infotainment screen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. The Leapmotor app allows users to control climate settings, schedule charging, and monitor the vehicle's status remotely, as well as use their mobile as a digital key.
The B05 incorporates Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) architecture, which integrates the battery into the vehicle's structure to improve efficiency, reduce weight, and increase structural rigidity. In terms of safety, it features 21 driver assistance functions, 14 sensors and cameras, seven airbags, and a torsional rigidity of 34,500 Nm/°.
Leapmotor targets this model at young, dynamic urban drivers looking for a different electric vehicle, with expressive design and an emotional driving experience. The price of the Leapmotor B05 BEV starts at €19,500, including €3,375 in subsidies from the Auto+ Plan.
Interested parties can visit Stellantis & You Palma on Aragón Street to see the vehicle in person and take test drives. The brand expects demand to continue growing in the coming weeks.
