Calvià hires seven qualified young people through the SOIB programme

The Calvià Town Hall has hired seven qualified young people through the ‘SOIB - Employment Opportunities for Qualified Young People in Local Entities 2026-2027’ programme. These new hires have been made to develop tasks related to the professional training of the selected individuals.

Details of the SOIB Programme

The aim of the SOIB programme is to facilitate access to employment for unemployed young people aged between 18 and 30, who are registered as job seekers with the SOIB and are beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System. The programme's funding allows local entities to hire these young people to perform tasks in line with their professional qualifications.

In the case of the Calvià Town Hall, six individuals joined different municipal areas on August 21. The professional profiles that have been integrated into the workforce are:

Human Nutrition and Dietetics Technician Environmental Management Technician Green Infrastructure Technician Human Resources Technician General Administration Technician (TAG) Digital Communication and Social Media Technician

On August 25, the seventh qualified young person joined the Municipal Tax Office (OMT) as an Economics Technician.

Funding and Benefits

The total amount allocated to the Calvià Town Hall for the programme is €214,751.40, with a municipal contribution exceeding €26,000. Regarding the incorporation into the OMT, the financial allocation is €35,791.90. These hires not only allow young people to gain professional experience but also help strengthen the services and areas of the Calvià Town Hall.

The programme is promoted by the SOIB and is co-financed by the Sectoral Conference on Employment and Labour Affairs and the European Union, through the European Social Fund Plus (FSE+).
