The Campos Town Council has completed a clearing and cleaning plan for green areas and plots in the municipality, with an investment of €16,445.23 and a total area of 80,097 m².
The Campos Town Council has finalised a clearing and cleaning service in the green areas and plots of the municipality. The work has covered an area of 80,097 m² and has involved an expenditure of €16,445.23, VAT included.
The tasks included maintaining the surface and perimeter of the green areas, removing low vegetation and weeds, and selectively felling trees with stump extraction. Waste generated during the work has also been collected and removed.
The aim of this intervention is to ensure clean, safe, and accessible public spaces for residents, as well as to preserve the urban and natural landscape of the municipality. The action also seeks to strengthen Campos' image as a sustainable and environmentally friendly tourist destination.
The initiative has the collaboration of the Agència d'Estratègia Turística de les Illes Balears (AETIB), within the framework of the programme “Tourism Governance for Improving the Quality of Offer and Destinations in the Balearic Islands.” It is part of the integration of Campos, as an affiliated destination, into the SICTED (Integrated System of Tourist Quality in Destination).
The project was agreed upon by the Mesa de Qualitat of the destination and is funded through the grant call of the Impost del Turisme Sostenible (ITS 2024-2025).
With this action, the local council continues its plan for maintaining public spaces, a line of work that will be repeated throughout the year. Residents can now enjoy better-maintained and more accessible green areas, according to municipal sources.
