Calvià launches the fourth edition of the Local Commerce Excellent Awards

The Calvià Town Hall opens the application period for the Excellent Awards, recognising local commerce innovation and history.

The Calvià Town Hall has announced the fourth edition of the Calvià Excellent Awards, a recognition aimed at local businesses and shops that stand out for their innovation and history. Applications are free and will be open until 21st September 2026.

Awards Categories

This edition features five categories: Innovative Business, Family and/or Local Business, Year-Round Business, Tourist Business, and Accessible Business. Each category aims to recognise specific characteristics, such as innovation, customer proximity, and relevance in the tourism sector.

This year, the Accessible Business category has been added, aimed at promoting equal opportunities and removing barriers in local commerce by integrating universal accessibility into their processes and structures.

Participation and Registration

Applications can be submitted through the Electronic Headquarters of the Calvià Town Hall. In the previous edition, a total of 102 applications were submitted, reflecting the interest and participation in these awards.

The winners of the 2025 edition included the Gran Buffet Siglo XXI Restaurant as a year-round business and Tintorería Mallorca as an innovative business. Additionally, the history of Almacenes Ferragut was recognised with a special honorary award.
