The German-Mexican soprano Neivi Martínez will perform on July 8 in Son Marroig, as part of the International Music Festival Deià 2026. The recital, titled 'Artistic Songs of the World and Divine Madness', is part of a tour that includes other venues in Mallorca.

The German-Mexican soprano Neivi Martínez will offer a concert at the International Music Festival Deià 2026 next Wednesday, July 8, at 20:00, in the iconic Son Marroig. She will be accompanied on piano by Alfredo Oyagüez Montero, the artistic director of the event.

The recital, under the title “Artistic Songs of the World and Divine Madness”, promises a musical journey that crosses borders. It is not an isolated performance: it is part of a tour that will also take her to the Fundación Miró on July 10 and the Sineu Festival on July 11. Three dates in three corners of the island for an artist who lives between Mexico and Vienna.

An international career with a Mallorcan stamp

Neivi Martínez is not an ordinary soprano. Her career has taken her to stages such as the Musikverein in Vienna, the Mozarteum in Salzburg, or the Seoul Arts Center. But this time, her artistic residency in Mallorca seeks inspiration in spaces linked to the history of art and culture, such as Son Marroig itself.

Graduated in singing from the University of Sonora, she has completed her training with studies in sound technique, music management, and positive psychology. Her international projection was consolidated thanks to a diplomatic exchange program between Mexico and Sweden. In December 2024, she was appointed Ambassador of Peace by the Universal Federation for Peace in Vienna, and received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa for her humanitarian work in the arts and culture, awarded by the Mil Mentes por México Association.

Tickets on sale for an intimate evening

Tickets for the concert in Deià are priced at 30 euros and can be purchased in advance on the festival's website. A reasonable price for an evening that, judging by the artist's resume, promises to be memorable. For classical music lovers, it is an opportunity to hear an internationally renowned soprano in a privileged setting, with views of the Serra de Tramuntana in the background.

In addition to her role as a performer, Neivi Martínez is the founder and general director of Amadeus Artist, an organization based in Vienna dedicated to promoting classical music events. Among her most curious initiatives is the presentation of traditional Mexican music and clothing at the Vienna Fashion Week in 2018. A detail that reveals her ability to blend traditions and surprise the audience.

In short, the International Music Festival Deià adds a heavyweight name to its 2026 program. The residents of the Ponent region and visitors who come to Son Marroig on July 8 will be able to enjoy an evening that, if the artist lives up to her fame, will be anything but conventional. Who knows, perhaps even divine madness will be contagious.
