Sarah and Judith Andic, daughters of the founder of Mango, testified before the judge that there were no conflicts over the inheritance and that the relationship between their brother Jonathan and their father was good.

Sarah and Judith Andic, daughters of the founder of Mango, Isak Andic, declared this Friday as witnesses in the court investigating the death of the businessman, which occurred in December 2024. Both denied that there were family conflicts over the distribution of the inheritance and defended the innocence of their brother Jonathan, who is being investigated for alleged homicide.

Annual agreed will

According to their testimony, Isak Andic met annually with his children to discuss the will. "In the event that any of us had received an advance as a donation, it would be deducted from what they would receive after his death," they explained. This process, they assert, was carried out transparently and without tension.

The sisters also denied that their father wanted to remove Jonathan from the management of the textile company. "He had already agreed with him on his departure to focus on personal projects," they stated, contradicting the investigators' suspicions.

Economic motive ruled out

Sarah and Judith disagreed with the testimony of Estefanía Knuth, Isak Andic's partner, who claimed that the businessman planned to modify his will to leave part of his estate to a foundation. The daughters assert that the creation of the foundation was a known and shared family project, and therefore would not have been a reason for conflict.

Judith acknowledged that there were "some squabbles" between her father and her brother, but nothing serious, "like in any family," while Sarah denied having witnessed any disagreements. Regarding Jonathan's personality, she described him as a "very stable, reflective and not impulsive" person.

Other witnesses reinforce the account

Isak Andic's brother stated that his impression was that father and son had a good relationship, with normal disagreements. A close friend of the deceased, with over 50 years of friendship, explained that they had no problems and worked together in the company.

Judith, the middle sister, studied Fashion at the European Institute of Design and was vice president of Mango MNG Holding. Sarah, the youngest, trained in fashion business management in London and New York, and was responsible for social initiatives in the family holding.

Both sisters were accompanied by María Saló, a lawyer from the office of criminal lawyer Cristóbal Martell, who is defending Jonathan. The investigation continues while the judge assesses the evidence.
