Left winger Carlos Gómez returns to Palma Futsal after three seasons on loan in the top division. The 24-year-old player was part of the squad that won the UEFA Futsal Champions League in 2023.

Left winger Carlos Gómez (Olías del Rey, 2001) is once again a player for Palma Futsal after finishing his loan period. The footballer, who was trained in the club's academy and was part of the team that won the first UEFA Futsal Champions League in the 2022/23 season, returns to the island with the intention of establishing himself in Antonio Vadillo's plans. He has two years left on his contract.

A Youth Policy That Bears Fruit

The sporting management of Palma Futsal has bet on the recruitment and loaning of young talents, and Carlos Gómez is the perfect example. During the last three seasons, the under-17 and under-19 international has gained experience at the elite level. In the 2023/24 season, he played for Family Cash Alzira, where he scored eight goals in thirty matches. He repeated those numbers in the 2024/25 season with Viña Albali Valdepeñas, also netting eight times in 27 games.

His last stop was Córdoba Patrimonio de la Humanidad, where he was the second top scorer of the team with thirteen goals in thirty matches. With this record, the Toledo winger returns to Son Moix with nearly a hundred matches in the top division under his belt.

Competitiveness for Vadillo's Attack

The return of Carlos Gómez strengthens Palma Futsal's offensive line following the departure of Mario Rivillos and the loan of Maia. The Jerez coach will have David Peña, Nunes, and Gómez himself as options on the left wing. The player brings freshness, boldness in one-on-one situations, and great deployment in both areas.

For Palma Futsal fans, this news means reclaiming a homegrown player who understands the club's demands and returns in full maturity. His experience in three different top division teams has given him an added level of competitiveness that Vadillo hopes to leverage from day one.

Carlos Gómez: “I Have Matured a Lot as a Player”

“I am very happy and excited to return to what was my home for four years. I believe I have matured a lot as a player and I will try to give my best,” says the winger.

The footballer acknowledges that the loan spells have been key to his development. “When you are young, you don’t see things the same way as when you have accumulated years of experience,” he explains. “I have matured quite a bit, and playing many minutes has helped me settle into the category.”

Carlos Gómez arrives with the ambition to contribute immediately. “You always have to aim for the maximum”, he states. “We must try to win everything we can and, on an individual level, continue to grow.” The winger does not hide his eagerness to reconnect with the fans: “I can't wait to enjoy myself again at Son Moix”, he concludes.

The next commitment for Palma Futsal will be in pre-season, where Carlos Gómez will have his first minutes to prove that his return is a good decision. The Balearic fans are eager to see the player who shone in the Champions League once again.
