The municipality of Campos has prepared the programme for the Mare de Déu d'Agost 2026 festivities, which will take place from August 6 to 16. Concerts, traditional events, and sports activities will fill the streets.

Campos is finalising preparations for its patron saint festivities of Mare de Déu d'Agost 2026, which will kick off on Thursday, August 6, and run until Sunday, August 16. The programme includes around thirty events that combine tradition, music, and sport.

The official opening will take place on Thursday, August 6, at 20:00 in the plaza Major with the official proclamation by Dr. Guillem Caldentey Adrover. The inaugural day will feature the planting of giants, the sound of the xeremiers from Pinyol Vermell, and the raising of the flag with the anthem of Campos, performed by Andreu López and Inès Mas.

On the same day, at 21:30 in the plaza de s'Estació, the 'Pa amb oli a la fresca' will be held, organised by the Campos Solidari Association and the Town Hall of Campos. Tickets, priced at 10 euros, will be sold on July 29, 30, and 31 at the Town Hall and at the Sa Ràpita Civic Centre, from 10:30 to 13:30. Places are limited.

The Thursday night will conclude with the II Campos Play: 100 years listening to the world, a playback gala by Trenc Espectacle commemorating the centenary of the arrival of the first radio receiver in Campos, a milestone that connected the village with the world.

Music and sport during the big weekend

On Friday, August 7, music will take over the parking lot of the Camp d'Esports with a concert by Sopa de Cabra, accompanied by Aero.Sol and DJ Txema Sánchez. Limited tickets can be purchased at www.rubioproduccions.com. Additionally, from 20:00 to 22:00, a retrospective exhibition of the artist Francisco Sans Serra will be open at Son Catlar Vell.

Saturday, August 8, will start at 7:00 with the departure from the plaza dels Tres Molins for the Pesca la Peça Major, in rock, grumeig, volantí, and underwater modalities. Weighing will take place at 13:00 in the same location. Registrations can be made by calling 667 68 90 80.

In the afternoon, the pavilion and the outdoor court of the Camp d'Esports will host the 33rd edition of the Vila de Campos 3x3 basketball tournament, which this year also celebrates the 28th Memorial Pere Vicens. At 19:00, the football field will be the scene of a commemorative event for the 50th anniversary of the Camp d'Esports, recalling the 1976 match between the veterans of CE Campos and CD Ses Salines.

Saturday night is reserved for the III Bingo Millennium@l in the plaza de s'Estació, a party themed around the 90s and 2000s. Registration, which does not reserve a table, can be done via WhatsApp at 679 49 58 01.

The programme will conclude on Sunday, August 16, with activities for the whole family. The Town Hall of Campos recommends checking the complete programme on the municipal website for updated times and possible changes due to weather conditions.
