The Civil Guard has arrested and imprisoned a 25-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting at least five girls aged between 8 and 13 at an academy in Part Forana. The abuse material was circulating online.
Agents from the Central Operational Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard have arrested and brought to justice a 25-year-old dance teacher, of Spanish nationality and Ecuadorian origin, accused of sexually assaulting at least five minors aged between 8 and 13. The events occurred at a dance academy in Part Forana, Mallorca, where the arrested individual taught classes.
The judge on duty in Inca ordered his provisional imprisonment last Thursday. He is charged with crimes of corruption of minors, sexual assault, production, possession, and distribution of child pornography, as well as degrading treatment. The investigation indicates that the events began at least in March of this year.
The investigation was initiated thanks to an alert from an international child protection association, which detected a package of videos and photographs containing explicit content of assaults on a minor. This material was actively distributed on instant messaging applications and in a Dark Web forum specialised in child pornography.
UCO specialists focused their inquiries on a key detail: the print on a t-shirt that appeared in the recordings. The garment led to an advertising poster of a Balearic association linked to breakdancing. From there, the analysis of public profiles on Instagram and TikTok allowed the identification of adults in the vicinity with distinctive tattoos on their arms, matching those in the investigated files.
According to sources from the investigation, the victims were students at the academy where the arrested individual worked. One of the identified minors is the daughter of a colleague of the suspect. The inquiries suggest that the teacher forced the minors to undergo degrading practices and ingest bodily fluids, under the pretense that it would enhance their physical and sporting performance.
During the home search carried out on July 27, the Civil Guard seized numerous computer materials, mobile phones, tablets, and mass storage units containing thousands of files of child pornography. The arrested individual already had a prior record for sexual assault registered in May 2023.
The breakdancing community on the island is in shock. From the Palma Breaking League U18, where the arrested individual served as a judge in the first selection phase, they have issued a statement completely disassociating themselves from him. The organisation emphasises that these events are entirely contrary to their principles and values, and reaffirms their commitment to the new generations and to strengthening the hip hop community in Spain.
Meanwhile, family and friends of the arrested individual deny the evidence and justify his absence by saying he has urgently gone to Ecuador. The investigation remains open and new victims are not ruled out, as agents analyse the seized material to determine the extent of the abuses.
This case has generated deep concern among families in Part Forana, who are demanding more protection for minors in the sporting and artistic fields. Authorities remind the importance of reporting any signs of abuse and supervising the activities of adults working with children.
The Civil Guard advises parents to talk to their children about these issues and to be alert to any changes in behaviour. Educational centres and academies must take extra precautions in selecting their staff, always verifying criminal records.
The arrested individual remains in provisional prison awaiting the trial. The judicial investigation will determine the criminal responsibilities and the possible extent of the events, which have shocked Mallorcan society.
