The festival bids farewell this weekend in Sant Joan with an emotional tribute to the deceased musician. The inauguration of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest and the concert by Hombres G complete the agenda.

The latest edition of Mobofest, taking place this weekend in Sant Joan, will be marked by a tribute to Joan Roca, a member of Antònia Font who passed away last Wednesday. The band, one of the most beloved in Mallorca, will offer a special tribute during the festival that concludes a decade of their journey.

Mobofest, which has established itself as a musical reference in the Pla de Mallorca, closes its doors with a programme full of emotion. According to sources from the organisation, the tribute to Joan Roca will be one of the most moving moments, uniting attendees in an atmosphere of remembrance and celebration.

Meanwhile, the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest kicks off this Sunday at La Misericòrdia with the screening of 'Forastera', by Lucía Aleñar, starring Lluís Homar and Zoe Stein. The inauguration will include a concert by Laaza, marking the start of a week of cinema in the capital.

In the music section, Hombres G will perform this Saturday at Son Fusteret (Palma) as part of their tour 'The Best Years of Our Lives'. The group led by David Summers will revisit their greatest hits, such as 'Devuélveme a mi chica' and 'Marta tiene un marcapasos', in a concert expected to draw a large crowd.

Jazz also has its place with a performance by Samara Joy, a five-time Grammy winner, at the Trui Teatre as part of the Jazz Palma Festival. The American, one of the most promising voices in the genre, will perform this Friday.

In Calvià, the Es Jardí cycle of Mallorca Live continues with the SUMMER OF ROCK DIVAS and a performance by Iván Ferreiro. The venue in Magaluf hosts these proposals for a musical weekend in the area.

The Port d'Andratx fills with jazz with the concert of The Tenor 4tet at Studio Weil, an intimate event for genre lovers. Also in Andratx, soprano Ainhoa Arteta will offer a recital as part of the MallorcÒpera festival, one of the last of the season.

The musical offerings in Palma are completed with La Masía Summer Club at Es Gremi, featuring artist C Marí as a special guest, and the proposals from La Movida Café Concierto, which include a concert by Darkness and Alien Lovers and a tribute to Chris Cornell.

The Nits de Bellver cycle will host Verdi's opera 'Rigoletto' this weekend, performed by the Ópera Grange company. The event, at Bellver Castle, promises a night of classical music in a unique setting.

For the residents of Mallorca, this weekend presents an opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of cultural and musical events, from cinema to jazz, pop, and opera. Most concerts and screenings have prices ranging from 15 to 40 euros, and tickets can be purchased at the venues' box offices or on the official websites of each event.

The tribute to Joan Roca at Mobofest will take place on Saturday night, while the inauguration of the Atlàntida Mallorca Film Fest will occur on Sunday at 20:00. It is recommended to check the schedules and purchase tickets in advance due to high demand.
