The Nit de Foc returns to Calvià Vila on Saturday, July 18, with a correfoc starting at 22:30 from the Plaça de l'Església. The route will include iconic streets and will end with a DJ party until 3:00.

Calvià Vila is getting ready for one of its most anticipated nights. Next Saturday, July 18, the streets of the historic centre will be filled with fire, music, and tradition with the Nit de Foc 2026, an event that is part of the Sant Jaume Patronal Festivities. The organisers expect a high turnout of locals and visitors.

Correfoc Route through the Old Town

The correfoc will kick off at 22:30 from the Plaça de l'Església. The groups of demons and the batucada will advance through the Costeta de la Música, the Carrer Major, the Plaça de la Vila, the Carrer Ca'n Vich, and the Carrer Batle Bujosa Sans. The final point will be the municipal parking of the Town Hall, where the party will continue.

There, starting from midnight until 3:00, a DJ will liven up the evening. Additionally, there will be a bar service for attendees. Access is free, but it is recommended to arrive early to enjoy the show from a good spot.

Safety Tips for a Risk-Free Enjoyment

The Calvià Town Hall has released a series of recommendations to ensure that the Nit de Foc is safe for everyone. The main one: wear long-sleeved cotton clothing and long trousers, along with closed and sturdy footwear. It is also advised to protect the head with a cap and the neck with a cotton scarf.

Synthetic fabrics are strongly discouraged, as they can easily ignite or melt. Backpacks, bags, or objects that could get caught should also not be brought. Organisers remind that it is prohibited to invade the route or handle pyrotechnic materials.

For those attending with minors, the recommendation is to keep them close at all times and assess whether the route is suitable for their age. People with reduced mobility or sensitivity to noise and smoke can watch the show from distant areas, according to municipal sources.

A Classic that Unites Locals and Visitors

The Nit de Foc is one of the most deeply rooted events of the Sant Jaume festivities. Every year, hundreds of people gather to see the dance of the demons amid sparks and firecrackers. For the locals, it is an unmissable event that blends tradition, spectacle, and community.

This year, the council has strengthened coordination with Civil Protection and Local Police to ensure everything goes smoothly. Residents of the streets along the route have already been informed of the planned traffic disruptions from early afternoon.

If the weather is favourable —which it usually is in July in Mallorca— the Nit de Foc promises to be a magical night. And amidst the smell of gunpowder and the rhythm of the batucada, one forgets for a few hours that the next day involves cleaning up after the festivities. However, it must be done responsibly so that everyone can continue to enjoy it year after year.
