The artist from Cádiz, J Kbello, has claimed victory in the final of the Antena 3 contest, aired this Friday, following a tribute performance to Hugh Jackman. María Parrado and Martín Savi completed the podium.

The singer J Kbello has been crowned the great winner of the thirteenth edition of ‘Tu cara me suena’, the imitation contest on Antena 3 that has kept the audience on the edge of their seats for months. The final, broadcast live this Friday from the network's studios in Madrid, crowned the Cádiz native with a resounding 51% of the votes from the public, well ahead of his rivals.

A decisive performance

The highlight of the night came with the imitation of Hugh Jackman in the musical number ‘The Greatest Show’, which received a standing ovation from the audience present. The performance, which combined singing, dancing, and a spectacular staging, tipped the scales in his favour. J Kbello, visibly emotional, confessed through tears that he dedicated the prize to his family, before repeating the performance that earned him victory.

Luxury podium and high-calibre rivals

The second place went to María Parrado, who moved everyone with her rendition of ‘Vision of Love’ and could not hold back tears as she confessed that the programme had helped her rediscover herself. The third place was taken by Martín Savi, who opened the gala dressed as Farinelli in a daring operatic interpretation that earned him 23% of the votes. Completing the top 5 were Cristina Castaño (fourth) and Paula Koops (fifth).

A record-breaking trajectory

J Kbello's triumph is not a matter of chance. Throughout the edition, the singer demonstrated constant evolution: he achieved his first partial victory imitating Alex Warren, and just two weeks later repeated with Carín León and Maluma, accompanied by Lucas Curotto. In the final stretch, he strung together three consecutive victories thanks to his imitations of Elvis Presley, Aerosmith, and a duet of Bruno Mars and Beyoncé alongside Nia.

Beyond his talent, the Cádiz native has left a mark with his generosity: he declined the weekly cash prize of 3,000 euros on three occasions to give it to other participants. Two of those donations were for Aníbal Gómez and Leonor Lavado, and the third for the jury member Àngel Llàcer, an unprecedented gesture in the history of the programme.

Humour and emotion as co-stars

The gala also featured the participation of Aníbal Gómez, Carolina Iglesias, Leonor Lavado, and Jesulín de Ubrique, who, although not competing for the trophy, added the humorous touch characteristic of the format. The programme, presented by Manel Fuentes, once again demonstrated its ability to connect with the audience, with an average viewership exceeding 15% share, according to provisional data.

For fans of the contest in Mallorca, J Kbello's victory marks the culmination of an edition that has maintained a high level of demand. The artist, who began his journey on the programme as an unknown to the general public, ends up becoming a viral phenomenon. His next challenge, as he has hinted, will be to take his show to the stages. For now, fans in the islands will have to wait to see him live, although his final performance is already available on the Antena 3 platform.
