The Town Hall of Inca has convened an ordinary plenary session for this Thursday, July 23, at 11:00 in the Plens room, with an agenda that includes 14 points. Among them, the proposal from the mayor's office to initiate the twinning process with Aguilar de la Frontera, a town in Córdoba, is particularly noteworthy.
The twinning, which must be approved by the plenary, aims to strengthen cultural, social, and economic ties between the two municipalities. The initiative comes from the governing team and is expected to receive support from the municipal groups.
Another relevant point is the report from the Information Commission on Environment and City Model to initially approve the Territorial Civil Protection Plan of Inca. This planning instrument aims to establish response mechanisms for emergencies and disasters in the municipality, improving coordination between emergency services and the population.
In the urban planning area, several specific modifications to the General Urban Planning Plan (PGOU) will be put to a vote. Modification number 21 affects the alignments and arrangement of the action unit UA-13, while number 25 proposes changing the designation of an industrial plot to community assistance equipment, intended for the Proyecto Hombre Baleares centre.
Additionally, the initial approval of the partial plan and the strategic environmental study of Sector number 10 will be debated, a urban development that will define the uses and buildings in that area of Inca.
In the motions section, the municipal group Vox Inca will present a proposal for the recovery, research, conservation, and promotion of the Hymn of Inca, considered part of the city's cultural heritage. The motion urges the Town Hall to promote actions to rescue this musical piece and disseminate it among the citizens.
The plenary will also include the approval of the minutes from the previous session, held on June 25, and several reports from the Commission of Economy and Good Governance. Among them are the extrajudicial recognition of credits and the initial approval of the modification of the municipal traffic ordinance, which could introduce changes to traffic and parking regulations in the locality.
Furthermore, the decrees from the mayor's office (numbers 4,224 to 4,844 of 2026) and resolutions on tax and collection matters between June 19 and July 16 will be reported, as well as agreements from the Local Government Board sessions on June 17 and 24, and July 1 and 8.
Finally, a turn for questions and requests will be opened for councillors to raise current municipal issues.
The session, which is expected to be lengthy due to the number of matters to be addressed, will be broadcast live via the Town Hall of Inca's YouTube channel, according to the Town Hall.
