The Colombian singer Kapo took advantage of his stay in Mallorca to stroll by the Cathedral and the Parc de la Mar, before dining at the restaurant La Bottega di Michele, in Santa Catalina.
The Colombian artist Kapo, one of the most talked-about names in Latin urban music, has chosen Palma as a stop on his Spanish tour. The performer of hits like 'Ohnana' and 'Uwaie' was seen this Wednesday in the city centre, where he took the opportunity to explore some of its most emblematic corners before continuing his musical agenda.
Stroll by the Seu and Italian dinner
Kapo, whose real name is Juan David Loaiza Sepúlveda, posted a story on his social media showing him strolling around the surroundings of the Cathedral of Mallorca and the Parc de la Mar. The artist, who has gathered thousands of followers on the island, did not want to miss the chance to immortalise the sunset next to the Seu.
After the stroll, the singer headed to the neighbourhood of Santa Catalina, one of the most vibrant areas of the city, to dine at La Bottega di Michele, a well-known Italian restaurant located on Fàbrica street. The establishment, specialised in Neapolitan pizzas and traditional cuisine, shared the artist's visit on social media:
“We had the pleasure today of hosting @yosoytukapo. Thank you for your visit! It was a true pleasure having you with us.”
A rising star
Kapo has become one of the major revelations in Latin music thanks to his fusion of afrobeat and reggaeton. His international breakthrough came in 2024 with songs that went viral, and since then he has collaborated with artists such as Myke Towers, Feid, Ryan Castro, Manuel Turizo, Danny Ocean, and Ozuna. His fresh and danceable style has led him to headline festivals across America and Europe.
For the Mallorcan audience, Kapo's visit is another nod to the island as a luxury and leisure destination for major stars. This is not the first time an international artist has chosen Palma to unwind between concerts: the city has established itself as a regular stop on musical tours.
Next stop: Valencia
After his time in Mallorca, Kapo will continue his tour on the mainland. This weekend he is set to perform at the Latin Fest de Valencia, one of the most prominent urban music festivals of the summer. There he will share the stage with other big names in the genre, at an event that promises to gather thousands of attendees.
For fans on the island who missed it, it may not be the last opportunity: with Kapo's popularity and the affection he has shown for Mallorca, it wouldn't be surprising to see him here again on future tours. For now, the singer takes away fond memories of his dinner in Santa Catalina and the views of the illuminated Cathedral.
