The Cultural Centre La Misericordia in Palma inaugurates the Summer Salon 2026 this Wednesday, a collective exhibition featuring 50 artists from the Círculo de Bellas Artes. Entry is free and the exhibition will be open until July 30.

The cultural event of the summer in Palma is now scheduled. The Cultural Centre La Misericordia will host the inauguration of the Summer Salon 2026 of the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Palma this Wednesday, July 8, at 19:00. The exhibition brings together works from fifty artists, both amateurs and professionals, all of whom are members of this historic entity.

The exhibition, organised by the Consell de Mallorca and the Círculo de Bellas Artes, will be open for free until July 30. It offers a journey through the creativity and artistic diversity of the island through painting and sculpture. The works are displayed on the ground and first floors of the cultural centre's courtyard building.

La Misericordia, the Home of Mallorcan Culture

The Vice President of the Consell de Mallorca and Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Antònia Roca, has highlighted that "La Misericordia has established itself as the home of culture for all Mallorcans. We at the Consell de Mallorca have worked to open this space to the public and turn it into a vibrant place where heritage, performing arts, music, literature, and visual arts coexist."

Roca emphasised that "this exhibition is yet another example of the intense cultural activity that La Misericordia hosts throughout the year and reflects our commitment to offering a varied, high-quality programme that is open to all audiences."

For the residents of Palma, this exhibition represents an opportunity to enjoy art without leaving the city and at no cost. La Misericordia has become a cultural reference point, with activities ranging from theatre to visual art exhibitions, such as this Summer Salon.

Fifty Artists, One Shared Passion

The Summer Salon is one of the most prominent events in the exhibition calendar of the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Palma. It offers the public the chance to discover the richness, diversity of styles, and creative vitality of the artists within the entity. This edition features fifty creators, whose works showcase different sensibilities, techniques, and artistic languages.

The exhibition includes both established artists and new talents, ensuring a mix of styles that ranges from the most classical realism to the most abstract proposals. Attendees will find oils, acrylics, watercolours, and sculptures in various materials.

The Círculo de Bellas Artes in Palma, founded in 1902, is one of the oldest cultural entities on the island. Its Summer Salon is a tradition that repeats every year, and this 2026 edition aims to consolidate the generational shift among Mallorcan creators.

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. It will be closed on Sundays and public holidays. Entry is free until capacity is reached.

With this initiative, the Consell de Mallorca continues to strengthen its commitment to making La Misericordia a reference space for culture on the island, promoting collaboration with cultural entities and providing opportunities for local creators to showcase their work. Those who cannot attend the inauguration will have the entire month to enjoy the artworks.
