The new edition of TaPalma Mallorca will take place in November with a competition and a tapas route. Registration for establishments is completely free this year.

Food lovers have a date marked in red this November: TaPalma Mallorca-2026 returns with new features. The event, which combines a professional competition and a tapas route through the city, opened registration for bars and restaurants this Thursday. The significant difference from previous editions is that participation will be completely free for establishments.

The competition will be held on Monday, November 2 at the Palau de Congressos de Palma, while the gastronomic route will take place from November 4 to 8 across different areas of the Balearic capital. Interested establishments can register through the official website www.tapalma.com until September 30.

Two categories, two mandatory tapas

TaPalma Mallorca-2026 is divided into two categories: competition and route. All participants, whether competing or not, must prepare two tapas: one free, called Tapa TaPalma 2026, and another made with sobrasada protected by the Consell Regulador IGP Sobrassada de Mallorca, the Tapa Sobrassada de Mallorca IGP 2026. This double requirement aims to enhance local products and the creativity of chefs.

The organisation, managed by AgenciaCom and Restauración Mallorca Caeb, has established a preliminary evaluation process. Although registration is free, proposals will be examined to ensure quality, originality, and suitability for the event. The organisation reserves the right to admit only those that meet the criteria.

Luxury sponsors for a special edition

The event has the official sponsorship of Trasmed, and the institutional support of the Fundació Turisme Responsable de Mallorca, the Ajuntament de Palma, and PalmaActiva. Other sponsors include the Palau de Congressos de Palma, San Miguel, Sobrassada de Mallorca, Zine, Café Rico, Eroski, Cooperativas Agro-alimentarias, My Uniform, and BYD Quadis Dream. Collaborators include Coca-Cola, José Luis Ferrer, Ascaib, Ehib, Fundació "la Caixa", the Playa de Palma Hotel Association, Ashpama, Afedeco, Pimeco, Aico, Marketing Comline, and Taste. The official media are IB3, Cope, Ultima Hora, Economía de Mallorca, and Fires i Festes.

For the residents of Palma, this edition represents an opportunity to enjoy local gastronomy at affordable prices during the November route. The bars and restaurants in the city have until the end of September to sign up and be part of this event that energises the culinary offerings of the capital.

The complete rules and regulations are available on the TaPalma website. The organisation recommends that interested parties read them carefully before registering, especially the conditions regarding mandatory tapas and admission criteria.
