The events occurred around 10:40 PM, when officers received a report of a fight inside the hotel complex. Several patrols urgently rushed to the scene and found the victim, a 65-year-old man, bleeding at the hotel reception with significant injuries.
The officers immediately requested medical assistance. Medical services attended to the man on-site and subsequently transported him to Manacor hospital, where he was admitted with an open head wound, a deep cut on his nose, and the amputation of the distal phalanx of his left thumb.
During the intervention, the police inspected the room where the fight had occurred. They found abundant bloodstains both in the hallway and inside the room, displaced furniture, a broken lamp, and other signs indicating a violent confrontation.
The initial police actions, along with witness testimonies and evidence collected at the scene, allowed for the identification of the alleged perpetrator of the assault, who was arrested for a serious injury offense.
The victim remains hospitalized at Manacor hospital, where doctors are assessing the progression of his injuries. The arrest has been placed at the disposal of the judiciary, pending a judge's decision on precautionary measures.
