The Andratx Town Hall has opened an anonymous form for residents to identify architectural barriers and propose improvements. The initiative, part of Phase I of the UAP, will be active for three months.
The Andratx Town Hall has launched a citizen participation survey to gather contributions from residents for the development of the Universal Accessibility Plan (UAP) for the municipality. Through an anonymous form, anyone can point out architectural or accessibility obstacles they encounter in their daily lives, indicate their location, and suggest possible solutions.
The information collected will complement the technical analysis already underway and will help define priority actions. The ultimate goal is to move towards a more inclusive municipality, where all people, regardless of their abilities, can navigate with autonomy.
The survey is part of Phase I of the Universal Accessibility Plan and will remain open for approximately three months, according to the town hall. This timeframe aims to facilitate maximum citizen participation, so that contributions enrich the technical diagnosis and allow for planning the subsequent phases of the plan.
The form is completely anonymous and has been designed to be accessible, so that any resident can complete it without difficulties. The Town Hall hopes that participation will be broad and representative of the different areas of the municipality, from the urban centre to the more dispersed areas.
The Councillor for General Services, Laura Monedero, has emphasised the importance of having the citizen's perspective: "We want to understand the experiences of our residents, as they are the ones who best know the real needs of the municipality. Their contributions will be essential for developing a useful, realistic plan that helps make Andratx a more accessible and inclusive place for everyone."
The Town Hall encourages all residents to participate in this initiative and to complete the form, available on the municipal website www.andratx.es. The proposals collected will be key to advancing the removal of barriers and improving accessibility throughout the municipality.
This participatory process is part of a broader context of improving accessibility in the municipalities of Mallorca, where more and more localities are adapting their public spaces and buildings to current regulations. Andratx thus joins this trend with an approach that prioritises the opinions of its inhabitants.
Once the data collection period is over, the technical team of the UAP will analyse the contributions and integrate them into the diagnosis. Priority actions will be defined based on urgency and technical and budgetary feasibility, with a commitment to progressively implement them.
