The solidarity fundraising from the Brutatló 2026 translates into a food parcel worth 1,200 euros, delivered this Tuesday to Cáritas de Andratx.

Once again, solidarity has made its way through the slopes and mud of the Brutatló in Andratx. The peñas of the municipality handed over a food parcel worth 1,200 euros to Cáritas de Andratx this Tuesday, purchased thanks to the funds raised during the sporting event of 2026.

The initiative, directly promoted by the Brutatló organisation with the collaboration of the peñas, demonstrates that the event is not just an obstacle race, but also a driver of social aid. The funds were raised among participants and attendees, who contributed their bit to make this donation possible.

A delivery that reinforces the work of Cáritas in Andratx

The delivery took place at the headquarters of Cáritas de Andratx, where representatives of the organisation and the peñas handed over the food parcel. These products will help strengthen the work that the entity carries out in support of individuals and families in the municipality who are facing vulnerable situations.

From the Department of Sports of the Andratx City Council, led by Councillor Lluís Toni Sieiro, gratitude has been expressed for the commitment of the Brutatló organisation, the peñas, the volunteers, and all those who have collaborated. Sieiro highlighted the value of collaboration between entities and citizens to make this solidarity initiative possible.

Brutatló 2026: sport, memory, and social commitment

This year's edition, held in memory of David Villanueva, also allowed for a donation of 2,000 euros to ABDEM, reaffirming the social commitment that characterises the Brutatló. Thus, the event not only moves legs but also raises awareness and wallets.

The Mayor of Andratx, Estefanía Gonzalvo, emphasised that "the Brutatló demonstrates every year that solidarity is also part of our festivities. Thanks to the commitment of the organisation, the peñas, the volunteers, and all the participants, this initiative once again transforms into direct aid for the families who need it most. It is a source of pride to see how our municipality's involvement transcends the sporting realm to become an example of commitment and generosity".

The Brutatló has established itself as one of the most participative and anticipated activities in the festive calendar of Andratx. Beyond its recreational and sporting nature, the event maintains a strong solidarity component, turning the involvement of participants, peñas, volunteers, and collaborating entities into actions that directly benefit those who need it most. The residents of Andratx can be proud that their most grassroots festival also has a heart of gold.

This year's donation, in addition to the 2,000 euros to ABDEM, provides a respite for families who turn to Cáritas. Anyone wishing to join future solidarity initiatives can find out more at the Department of Sports of the Andratx City Council or through the peñas themselves.
