Atlético Baleares has announced the signing of goalkeeper Vicenç Sabater (32 years old) and midfielder Miguel Soler (24 years old), both from Poblense. The two Mallorcan footballers arrive to bring experience and quality to the 2026/27 project.
Atlético Baleares continues to make moves in the transfer market and has secured two signings with a strong Mallorcan profile. The white-and-blue club announced on Thursday the arrival of goalkeeper Vicenç Sabater and midfielder Miguel Soler, both from Poblense. Two reinforcements that, according to the sports management, will provide experience, knowledge of the category, and an added quality to the dressing room.
Vicenç Sabater, the return of a proven goalkeeper
Vicenç Sabater, a 32-year-old goalkeeper from Palma standing at 1.87 meters tall, returns to Atlético Baleares after having defended the white-and-blue shirt in the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons. He arrives after two seasons at Poblense, where he has maintained notable consistency between the posts.
Throughout his career, Sabater has played for teams such as Andratx, Platges de Calvià, Constància, or Barco, establishing himself as one of the most experienced goalkeepers in Balearic football. His security in aerial play and reliability are his main assets.
“We are very pleased to sign a goalkeeper from the island. With his 1.87 m height, he will help us in aerial play and also has a lot of experience in the category. He will be an important player in the dressing room as well, so we are very satisfied with his arrival at the club,” highlighted Marc Julià, sports director of Atlético Baleares.
Miguel Soler, a midfielder with potential
Alongside Sabater, Atlético Baleares has also secured the signing of Miguel Soler, a 24-year-old Mallorcan midfielder born in Andratx. Soler also arrives from Poblense, where he has become a key figure in midfield since his arrival in 2022, surpassing 30 matches per season.
The Andratx player has experience with clubs such as Santanyí, Sóller, or Porreres, and is known for his ball control, intensity, and ability to balance the game. Additionally, he is well-known by coach Óscar Troya, which will facilitate his adaptation to the team.
“We are very pleased to announce the arrival of a Mallorcan midfielder who we believe has great potential within Balearic football and who, we are convinced, will continue to grow with us at Atlético Baleares. He is a player with stamina, work ethic, energy, and also quality on the ball, a profile that fits very well with the team idea we are building for the 2026/27 season,” Julià emphasized.
Atlético Baleares, competing in Segunda División B, is thus looking to strengthen its squad with local players who know the category and Balearic football perfectly. For the white-and-blue fans, the arrival of Sabater and Soler represents a commitment to local identity and excitement for the upcoming season.
Both players will join the pre-season starting next month in July, when the team will begin training under the orders of Óscar Troya. The management is confident that these signings, along with any others that may arrive in the coming weeks, will allow Atlético Baleares to compete at the highest level.
