Calvià will host the Mallorca Open 2026 on July 25 and 26, 2026, an official event of the World Cube Association (WCA). The event will take place at the Palmanova Hall and will bring together participants from 11 different countries.
Event Details
The competition, organised by the Associació Speedcubing Mallorca in collaboration with the Calvià Town Hall, will offer an intense weekend with competitions in all the official formats recognised by the WCA. This includes everything from the well-known 3x3 Rubik's Cube to challenging blindfolded solves and large cubes.
In addition to the competition, the Mallorca Open is an opportunity for enthusiasts to share experiences and meet other participants in a unique atmosphere. The speedcubing community continues to grow, and the event reflects this rise, combining skill and personal achievement.
Opening the Door to New Talents
The championship is open to the public and entry is free, allowing those interested in speedcubing to come to the Palmanova Hall to learn more about this discipline. During the event, they can follow the different events and connect with the growing community of speedcubers. On-the-spot registrations will also be accepted on the same day for those wishing to participate for the first time.
The organisation and support from the Calvià Town Hall have been crucial in establishing this event as a benchmark in speedcubing in the Balearic Islands, ensuring it takes place under the best conditions.
The Associació Speedcubing Mallorca, responsible for promoting this event, is a non-profit entity that works to encourage the practice of speedcubing among people of all ages, promoting values such as learning and coexistence.
