The hunting company Cinegética Monteros del Valle de Alcudia, with a presence in Mallorca, has reached an agreement with a Turkish company to organise wild boar hunting expeditions in Turkey throughout the year. The packages include 6 wild boars per hunter, a 5-day stay, and transfers.

Cinegética Monteros del Valle de Alcudia, a hunting company with ties in Mallorca, has announced an agreement with a Turkish firm to organise wild boar hunts in Turkey all year round. The initiative allows hunters from the island and other regions to participate in five-day expeditions with a guaranteed quota of six wild boars per person.

The package, which the organisation calls 'all-inclusive', covers hotel accommodation for four nights with full board (breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, as well as soft drinks, water, coffee, and tea, excluding alcohol and tobacco). It also includes internal transfers from the arrival in Turkey to the hunting grounds each day of hunting.

The wild boars included in the quota have an estimated weight of between 180 and 280 kilos and a tusk length of over 19 centimetres, with no maximum size limit until September 30. After that date, each centimetre exceeding 21 centimetres will incur an additional cost of 100 euros.

The company clarifies that if a wild boar is wounded but not found, it still counts towards the quota. According to sources from the organisation, in 99% of cases, the animals shot are located, and if an extra tip is offered, the guides increase the search effort with dogs.

The specimens that do not reach 19 centimetres of tusk length are not counted in the quota and are free of charge. The package also includes all necessary paperwork for hunting in Turkey and the permits to bring firearms into the country.

Among the mandatory additional expenses, the transport of the weapon costs 90 euros per trip (round trip), and the ammunition costs 70 euros per trip, allowing the carrying of cartridges for various weapons as long as they do not exceed five kilos. The extraction, cleaning, and preparation of the tusks for transport amounts to 50 euros for each wild boar.

Additionally, a minimum tip of 250 euros per vehicle per week is required for the guides and forest rangers. The flight ticket is the responsibility of the hunter and the companion, although the organisation offers the possibility of managing it through a travel agency for 15 euros per ticket. The ticket for the representative of the organisation who will accompany the group during the hunt must also be covered.

Companions (maximum one per hunter) pay 900 euros per person, which includes the same accommodation and meal services. Additional wild boars outside the quota are priced at 950 euros each, with no size limit. In case of a missed shot, 180 euros will be charged for each missed wild boar.

The dates of the expeditions are flexible and adapt to the availability of the groups, although the organisation recommends booking in advance to secure cheaper flight tickets. Travel is only allowed with Turkish Airlines, the only airline that permits the introduction of firearms into Turkey.

For interested Mallorcan hunters, the company offers the possibility of forming groups of between three and five hunters, plus one companion for each. Direct contact is Javier, at the phone number 633 17 31 50.
