Valldemossa celebrated its main day on Tuesday in honour of Santa Catalina Thomàs, with the departure of the Triumphal Car presided over by the Beateta of 2026, Àfrica Calafat Roldán.

The Beateta of 2026, Àfrica Calafat Roldán, presided over the decorated float, accompanied by fifteen children who formed her court of angels.
The day began at 9:00 AM with the parade of the Montuïri Music Band, which toured the streets of the municipality announcing the start of the main events. At 10:45 AM, a procession set off from the Town Hall, consisting of the Beateta, her court of angels, the Hereva, the honourable ladies, and the authorities, heading towards the parish church of Sant Bartomeu.
At 11:00 AM, a solemn mass was held in honour of Santa Catalina Thomàs, the patron saint of Valldemossa. After the ceremony, the Town Hall offered refreshments in the gardens of the Charterhouse. In the afternoon, at 6:30 PM, the Montuïri Music Band held a concert in the Charterhouse square.
The most awaited moment arrived at 9:30 PM, when the Triumphal Car began its journey through the streets of Valldemossa. Àfrica Calafat Roldán led the float, accompanied by Aarón Goñi Rodríguez, Olivia Cipriani Carulla, Román Goñi Rodríguez, Martina Marquès Català, Marc Muñoz Pons, Paula Vives Sánchez, Eduard Stefan Arseni, Teo Nistico, Teo Seijo Vicens, Rita Beriain Puentes, Kenzo Lambourne Lloyd-Cox, Clàudia Rigo Chaparro, Lluc Juan Mateu, Ona Amer Julià, and Nil Campins Pons.
Alongside the float, traditional carts paraded with children dressed as peasants. The procession also featured the participation of the Montuïri Music Band, the Valldemossa Music Band, and the Xeremiers de sa Garriga, who provided the musical backdrop for the night parade.
The departure of the Triumphal Car concluded the central events of a festival that began on July 17 and has once again paid tribute to Santa Catalina Thomàs, a key figure in the history and identity of Valldemossa. The Beateta, chosen each year from among the girls of the municipality, represents the popular devotion towards the Mallorcan saint.
