The festival, now in its fourth edition in Mallorca, has presented its programme at the Teatre Principal d’Inca. Three concerts between September and November will connect Brazil and the island through music.

The Tensamba Festival, which reaches its 23rd edition in 2026, has unveiled the lineup for its fourth edition in Mallorca. The presentation, held at the Teatre Principal d’Inca, featured representatives from the organisation and collaborating entities, who revealed a proposal that, as they explained, aims to build cultural bridges between Brazil and the island through music.

Promoted by Red Carpet Productions, the event will have its main venue at the Teatre Principal d’Inca and is supported by the Hotel Saratoga, through the Blue Jazz Club, and the entity Amigos de Brasil Baleares as a collaborator.

The programme will kick off on September 12 at 20:00 at the Teatre Principal d’Inca with a performance by the Mirla Riomar Acoustic Trio. The artist, born in Salvador de Bahia, presents a proposal deeply linked to Afro-Brazilian roots, where voice, percussion, and dance converge with elements of jazz, soul, and traditional rhythms from Bahia. Her work offers a contemporary interpretation of the Afro-Brazilian tradition, with an intense stage presence that makes rhythm and communication with the audience central themes.

On October 11, at 19:00, the same stage will host the Filó Machado Sexteto. Singer, composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist, Machado has over five decades of experience and is a key figure in the dialogue between Brazilian popular music and jazz. His language is based on harmonic sophistication, rhythmic richness, improvisation, and a deep understanding of Brazil's musical traditions. As an artistic exchange initiative, on October 10, he will offer a masterclass at Red Carpet Productions aimed at local musicians, with the goal of sharing knowledge and strengthening the festival's connection to Mallorca's music scene.

The festival will close on November 21 at the Blue Jazz Club of the Hotel Saratoga in Palma, featuring a performance by Márcio Faraco. The artist, also a composer and multi-instrumentalist, is known for his style that fuses bossa nova, samba, and folk with influences from jazz and Latin American music. With a solid international career, Faraco has collaborated with renowned musicians and released several critically acclaimed albums.

The Tensamba Festival has established itself as a meeting point between Brazilian and Mallorcan culture. In its previous editions, it has managed to attract a diverse audience and has contributed to the dissemination of contemporary Brazilian music on the island. The 2026 edition promises to maintain this trajectory, offering a programme that encompasses different generations and sensibilities within current Brazilian music.

Tickets for the concerts are already on sale through the usual channels of the Teatre Principal d’Inca and the Hotel Saratoga. The organisers recommend purchasing them in advance, given the success of previous editions. For more information, interested parties can consult the festival's website or the social media of the collaborating entities.
