The National Police have arrested a man in Palma accused of sexually assaulting his two minor daughters while they slept. The mother reported the incidents.
Officers from the National Police have detained a man in Palma as the alleged perpetrator of several crimes of sexual assault, exhibitionism, and corruption of minors. According to the report, the incidents allegedly occurred during the custody periods that the arrested man had with his two minor daughters.
The investigation began following a report filed by the girls' mother, the ex-partner of the detainee. The woman went to police premises to recount the episodes that the father allegedly committed while taking advantage of the custody periods.
According to the file, the incidents occurred inside the minors' bedroom while they were sleeping. On at least two occasions, the girls woke up in the early hours and witnessed their father masturbating in the room.
One of the daughters confessed to her mother that she had woken up startled after feeling the man touching her breasts inappropriately. Shortly after, the other sister recounted a similar episode of touching on her chest at a different time.
Given the seriousness of the events, the investigation was handed over to the Family and Women’s Care Unit (UFAM), whose agents carried out the necessary checks, took statements from the parties involved, and located the suspect, who has already been placed at the disposal of the judiciary.
The arrest occurred as part of an ongoing investigation to determine the extent of the abuse. The minors, who are now with their mother, are receiving specialized care.
