The Pollença Town Hall has announced the complete programme for the 2026 Patrona festivities, which will run from Friday, July 24, to Sunday, August 2. The celebration, one of the most popular summer events in Mallorca, includes cultural, sporting, and recreational activities, with the traditional Moros i Cristians mock battle as the highlight on August 2.
The official start of the festivities will take place on Sunday, July 26, at 14:00 in the Monti-sion square. There, cannon fire, the launching of rockets, and the ringing of bells will signal the beginning, accompanied by a parade from the Cornetas y Tambores del Soldà Band. On the same day, at 22:00, the announcer Teresa Cànaves Llompart will deliver the opening speech titled "Sí, va de llengua" in the cloister of Sant Domingo. After the speech, the Pollença Music Band will perform a concert and slush will be distributed among attendees.
For over a week, the municipality will host concerts, dances, exhibitions, children's shows, theatre, and sports activities. Among the highlighted events is the musical "Després de la Desgràcia," performed by the Grup Pollencí de Teatre and the Pollença Music Band. There will also be Correbars, a popular dance with Els Revetlers and Ballugall, and the Marcha Fresca and Fresketa festivities.
On Saturday, August 1, the eve of the Patrona, a children's play area is scheduled in the Joan March gardens, a parade through the town centre, and a large dance in the Major square featuring performances by The Hawaiians, Cirko, and Sideways Dj.
Sunday, August 2, will concentrate the most traditional and popular events. At 5:00, the Alborada will begin from the Major square, followed by the dance of the Cossiers, the procession, and, as a grand finale, the spectacular Moros i Cristians mock battle that fills the streets of central Pollença each year.
