The German design furniture firm strengthens its ties with Balearic football. The agreement includes the men's, women's, and youth first teams.
CD Atlético Baleares has gained a new sponsor for the next two seasons. The company Niehoff Baleares, a subsidiary of the German group specialised in design furniture for indoor and outdoor use, has signed a collaboration agreement with the historic Mallorca club, as confirmed by both entities this Tuesday.
The pact, which extends until 2028, includes the firm's support for the men's first team, the women's team, and the youth academy of the red-and-black outfit. Additionally, the brand will have a presence in the club's physical and digital platforms, as well as in various activations organised during the season.
From Niehoff Baleares, they explained that the agreement responds to a strategy of supporting sports wherever the company operates. The firm, which already collaborated with other disciplines in the Islands, believes that football is a way to promote values such as effort, teamwork, and excellence.
“As a German company with a global presence, we seek to support sports wherever we are present. We want to contribute to the growth of football, just as we do with other sports disciplines, and we are convinced that together with CD Atlético Baleares we can grow and achieve many successes,” said Álvaro Llompart, managing director of Niehoff Baleares.
The managing director of Atlético Baleares, Patrick Messow, thanked the company's trust and highlighted that the club gains a new partner at a time of growth. “I want to thank Álvaro and the entire Niehoff team for believing in CD Atlético Baleares. It is a pride to have a new sponsor for the next two seasons,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the club's sports director, Marc Julià, appreciated the affinity between both entities. “Thank you, Álvaro, and thank you to Niehoff for your support and trust in our project. Besides manufacturing high-quality furniture, you create true art with your designs,” he indicated.
The collaboration will not be limited to the economic aspect. Communication actions and activations aimed at both fans and the business community linked to the club are expected to be developed. The goal is to strengthen the relationship between the company and Atlético Baleares during the next two campaigns.
This sponsorship adds to other initiatives that Niehoff Baleares has promoted in the Balearic sports sector. The company already collaborated with the Balearic golf championships and now makes the leap to football, a sport with deep roots in the islands. The firm, headquartered in Germany but with a subsidiary established in Mallorca, aims to consolidate its presence in the territory.
For Atlético Baleares, this agreement represents an economic boost in a project that aspires to grow in the coming seasons. The club, founded in 1920, is going through a phase of sporting consolidation and seeks to expand its base of sponsors to sustain its professional structure.
The news comes during pre-season, when the team led by coach Xavi Calm is finalising its preparations for the upcoming season. The team plays at the Balearic stadium, where next season they hope to count on the support of their fans.
With this alliance, Niehoff Baleares reaffirms its commitment to the sport of the Islands and to projects that represent values such as commitment, effort, and closeness. The company has emphasised that it views sports sponsorship as a way to contribute to social development and strengthen the community.
Atlético Baleares fans will see the Niehoff brand at the matches of both the men's and women's first teams, as well as in the lower categories. The company will also have a presence on the club's digital channels, where upcoming activations will be announced.
The agreement is part of Niehoff's strategy to support sports in the markets where it operates. The firm, which generates international revenue, believes that sports sponsorship is an effective tool to connect with the public and convey its corporate values.
The club has publicly expressed its gratitude for the company's trust and has invited other companies to join the project. Atlético Baleares, one of the historic clubs on the island, seeks to expand its network of collaborators to face the upcoming seasons with guarantees.
