The Espanyol winger arrived last night in Palma to become the sixth signing of RCD Mallorca. Loaned with a non-mandatory purchase option of two million, he will reunite with Luis García.
RCD Mallorca is finalising the signing of Antoniu Roca, the Espanyol winger, who is already on the island to close his loan. The player landed at Palma airport just past midnight, where he was welcomed by club members. Clearly excited, Roca stated that he is eager to start working with his new teammates.
The operation has accelerated in recent hours. The agreement is a one-season loan, with a non-mandatory purchase option close to two million euros. Only a medical check and contract signing remain for the player to become the sixth reinforcement for the Bermellón team for the 2026-27 season.
Roca will once again coincide with Luis García, the Mallorca coach, who already gave him his debut in the Second Division with Espanyol. “Yes, I have spoken with Luis. He wanted me to be here, and I feel the same way. I am looking forward to seeing him and the teammates to train and get to know them,” the winger declared upon his arrival.
The player will immediately join the team’s dynamics, which is currently undergoing pre-season training in Marbella. In fact, Roca could have his first minutes in the two confirmed friendlies: against Al-Fateh Sports Club (Saturday, July 25, 19:00) and against the Al-Ittihad Jeddah Club reserve team (Thursday 30, 10:00).
With this signing, Mallorca strengthens its right flank, one of the positions the coach wanted to cover. Antoniu Roca, 21, is a fast and dynamic winger, trained in Espanyol's academy, where he has stood out in both the reserve and first teams. His arrival brings an added boost of speed and youth to the Bermellón attack.
The Mallorca fans are eagerly anticipating Roca's debut, which could occur in the coming days during the training camp in Málaga. The club is confident that the player will quickly adapt to Luis García's system and provide imbalance in attack.
The transfer market remains open, and Mallorca does not rule out further moves, but the loan of Antoniu Roca is, for now, the last completed operation. The winger expressed happiness at having reached an agreement and is eager to start training: “I can’t wait to see Luis and the teammates, and to train and get to know them,” he repeated.
