The Conselleria d'Empresa, Autònoms i Energia, through the Agència de Desenvolupament Regional de les Illes Balears (ADRBalears), has announced the return of the Baleart craft fair. The event will be held from October 29 to November 1 at the Centre Cultural de la Misericòrdia in Palma, following the success of the 2025 edition.
Professionals accredited with a craftsman or master craftsman letter can register for free. The application submission period will remain open until August 4. Registrations are formalised through the official website of the event.
New features at the Palma craft fair
This year's highlights include the expansion of participating artisan families. The food family will be included, allowing its professionals to showcase and sell their products during the fair. This adds an extra attraction for visitors, who will be able to taste and purchase local artisanal products.
The live demonstrations programme, which was well received in the previous edition, will again be part of the schedule. Attendees will be able to see live the processes of crafting artisanal pieces, from pottery to basketry, and learn about the work of professionals from the Illes Balears.
Collaboration and visibility of the artisan sector
The event is supported by the island councils of Mallorca, Menorca, Eivissa, and Formentera. The aim is to raise awareness and recognise the work of the artisan sector, bringing the richness and diversity of handcrafted products and the importance of traditional crafts closer to the public.
In the 2025 edition, Baleart brought together 40 artisans from twelve artisan families at the Parc de la Mar. The exhibition included works of pottery, ceramics, glass, wood, leather, basketry, and textiles. This year, with the inclusion of food, it is expected to exceed that number and offer an even more complete experience.
For the residents of Palma and the rest of Mallorca, the fair is an opportunity to discover and purchase local crafts directly from the creators. Additionally, the live demonstrations allow for an understanding of the value of manual work and tradition. The event will take place in the heart of the city, at the Misericòrdia, a venue that hosted the previous edition with a large turnout.
Those interested in participating as exhibitors must be accredited and formalise their registration before August 4. Participation is free. For the public, entry is free, and the schedule will be announced soon on the event's website. Undoubtedly, an unmissable event for lovers of craftsmanship and handmade goods.
