The Manacor Town Hall will start the comprehensive renovation works on Tuesday, August 25 for Joan Amer Avenue in Porto Cristo, in the section between Avenida Pins and Calle Bordils. The aim of the project is to renew the road and service infrastructures in this section and improve its overall condition, safety, and functionality.
The delegate for Porto Cristo, Antònia Llodrà, has stated that this is one of the pending works that can finally be executed. “We are aware that any work generates inconveniences and discomfort for the residents, and that is why we ask for understanding and patience during this period. At the same time, we believe this is a necessary action and, above all, a commitment we had pending with Porto Cristo,” she affirmed.
The project includes the renovation and improvement of sidewalks and pedestrian areas, as well as a comprehensive improvement and adaptation of the urban space. There will also be a complete renewal of the pavement and an upgrade of the public lighting network, aiming to update the infrastructures and provide a safer, more accessible, and functional urban space.
The works have a budget of €654,069.12 and a planned execution period of three months. During this time, local residents will have to cope with the inconveniences typical of a project of this magnitude, although the town hall requests patience as this is a necessary action to improve an avenue that is an important space for the daily life of the residents.
