Former tennis player Roger Federer and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer have once again chosen Mallorca for a few days of relaxation. Federer was seen at the Son Gual golf course and at the Stagier Bar restaurant in Santa Catalina, while Neuer shared cycling routes through the Serra de Tramuntana.

Roger Federer and Manuel Neuer have returned to Mallorca to enjoy a few days of vacation. The 44-year-old Swiss former tennis player was spotted at the Son Gual golf course, located on the Palma-Manacor road, where he played a round. The club itself shared an image on social media with the message: "Enjoying a round of golf."

Hours later, Federer made a stop at the Stagier Bar, in the Palma neighbourhood of Santa Catalina. The restaurant, which merges Latin roots with Mediterranean cuisine, published a photograph alongside the twenty-time Grand Slam champion and dedicated some words to him: "A true honour to have hosted a sports legend today. Thank you, Roger Federer, for choosing our restaurant. It was a pleasure having you with us!".

A regular of the Mallorcan summer

Federer, retired since 2022, is becoming a regular on the island. In April 2025, he already hit some balls at the Mallorca Country Club de Calvià and in July played with Rafa Nadal at Pula Golf, in Son Servera. These visits are complemented by his appearances at the Rafa Nadal Academy de Manacor, reflecting the close friendship he has maintained with the Balearic tennis player for years.

For the Mallorcan reader, Federer's presence is not only a tourist attraction but also boosts the local economy. Son Gual and Stagier Bar benefit from the publicity generated by the visit of a legend, and the residents of Santa Catalina might bump into the Swiss at any terrace. The high season is extended with these luxury getaways, reinforcing Mallorca's image as a top-tier destination.

Neuer, from World Cup failure to the Serra de Tramuntana

Also not missing his appointment with Mallorca is Manuel Neuer. The goalkeeper of the German national team and Bayern Munich, eliminated in the round of 16 of the World Cup against Paraguay, has shared images of his holiday on the island on social media. He has combined sport, nature, and gastronomy: he took a cycling route through the Serra de Tramuntana, visited Valldemossa, and enjoyed terraces with sea views in Puerto Portals.

Neuer, one of the most decorated goalkeepers in history, has managed to digest the blow of the World Cup with a few days of relaxation on the island. For Mallorcan fans, seeing the German goalkeeper cycling through the Serra is a source of pride, and the establishments he frequents receive an unexpected media boost. Puerto Portals, in Calvià, is consolidating as a meeting point for international stars.

Both visits reinforce the bond between Mallorca and elite sports. The island is already home to Rafa Nadal and a meeting point for figures like Federer and Neuer, who choose its golf courses, back roads, and gastronomy to unwind. Who knows if in the coming days they will be seen in Formentor or Deià, other usual spots for celebrities.
