The Stabbed Man in Capdepera is Discharged and the Civil Guard is Searching for the Attacker

The 32-year-old victim is now out of danger after being attacked while sleeping. The alleged attacker, Soulaimane B. K., 35, is still at large.

The 32-year-old man who received a stab wound to the neck while sleeping in his home in Capdepera has been discharged from Son Espases hospital in Palma. This has been confirmed by health sources, who indicate that the victim arrived by helicopter from 061 with significant bleeding, but was stabilised and hours later was able to leave the facility.

The Civil Guard continues to search for the alleged attacker, identified as Soulaimane B. K., 35, of Sahrawi origin, like the victim. Officers have already taken statements from the injured party and several witnesses who saw the attack in the apartment they shared in the Cala Gat urbanisation.

A Kitchen Knife and a Previous Argument

According to the investigation, the incident occurred around 12:20 on Sunday. The suspect, who apparently was under the influence of alcohol, was seen by neighbours without a shirt and wielding a kitchen knife in the Cala Gat area. Several residents alarmed the Local Police, but before the officers arrived, the man entered the flat and stabbed his companion while he was sleeping.

After the attack, the alleged attacker fled the residence and since then, there has been no trace of his whereabouts. The Civil Guard has deployed a search operation by land and air, although it has not yet been disclosed whether any solid leads have been found.

The Injured Man was Airlifted to Hospital

A friend of the victim took him to the Continuous Care Point (PAC) in Capdepera, from where the medical staff alerted 061. Due to the serious neck injury, an Advanced Life Support ambulance was mobilised and the severe polytrauma code was activated. The 061 helicopter landed nearby and transported the patient to Son Espases in serious but conscious condition.

For the residents of Capdepera, this incident has caused shock, especially in the Cala Gat area, a tourist urbanisation that is usually quiet in the low season. The Civil Guard is asking for public cooperation to locate the fugitive, who may have hidden in a house or wooded area of the municipality.

Authorities remind that any information could be crucial and encourage people to call 062 if they have news of the suspect. Meanwhile, the victim is recovering in a safe place outside the hospital, although the fright and tension among the local residents are not easily dissipated.
