The State Meteorological Agency activates a yellow alert for heat in the Balearic Islands, although Manacor is not included in the warning. The perceived temperature will reach 45 degrees.
Manacor will experience an extreme heat day this Saturday, with a maximum perceived temperature of 45 degrees according to data from the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET). Although the yellow alert for maximum temperatures affects the province, the municipality is not included in the warning, but the thermometers will not relent.
The sky will start the day mostly clear until six in the morning, when cloud cover will temporarily increase. By mid-morning, the sun will reassert itself, leading to an afternoon of intense heat, with highs of 35 degrees and lows of 22.
Searing heat with a light breeze
The wind will blow from the east with light intensity, which will hardly alleviate the muggy feeling. Residents of Manacor who go outside will notice a very heavy atmosphere, especially between 14:00 and 18:00, when the sun is at its strongest.
For Sunday, the forecast indicates high clouds during the early morning and morning, although cloud cover will decrease from midday. Temperatures will rise slightly: the maximum will reach 37 degrees and the minimum will stay at 21. The wind, very light, will shift to the southeast.
Monday, the peak of the week
Monday will be the hottest day of the upcoming days, with a maximum of 38 degrees and a minimum of 22. The sky will be mostly clear throughout the day and the wind will blow lightly from the southeast. No rain is expected.
In comparison, Palma will also suffer from heat, with highs of 36 degrees and high clouds in the morning. In Castelldefels, however, temperatures will be milder, with a maximum of 33 degrees.
"We recommend staying hydrated, avoiding sun exposure during peak hours, and paying special attention to the elderly and children," say sources from Civil Protection.
AEMET's data is provisional and is constantly updated, so it is advisable to follow official channels for any changes in the alert.
