The State Meteorological Agency has activated an orange alert for high temperatures in the Balearic Islands, but Manacor will not be affected. Clear skies and a maximum of 35 degrees are expected on Friday.

The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated an orange alert for maximum temperatures this Friday in the province of Balearic Islands, although the municipality of Manacor will be excluded from this warning. According to the forecast, the day will start with clear skies from dawn until noon, when cloud cover will begin to increase, ending with a cloudy scenario by the end of the day.

Temperatures will not experience significant changes compared to Thursday, with a maximum expected of 35 degrees and a minimum of 24. The maximum feels-like temperature could reach 42 degrees, according to AEMET data. Winds will be light from the southeast, which will not help alleviate the heat.

For Saturday, the forecast indicates abundant clouds during the early morning and morning, which will decrease from 12:00 onwards. The maximum temperature will rise to 38 degrees, while the minimum will remain around 24 degrees. On Sunday, however, a change in trend is expected: cloudy intervals with little rain and a notable decrease in the maximum, which will drop to 32 degrees. The minimums will hardly vary, and the wind will blow lightly from the east.

These data, prepared by AEMET, are provisional and subject to possible updates. Residents of Manacor should keep in mind that, although the orange alert does not directly affect the municipality, the high temperatures and elevated feels-like temperature require caution, especially during the central hours of the day.

The orange alert, which does affect other areas of the province, implies a significant health risk, especially for the elderly, children, and chronically ill individuals. Authorities recommend constant hydration, avoiding sun exposure during the hottest hours, and paying attention to the symptoms of heat stroke.
