Manacor avoids the yellow warning for heat activated in other areas of the Balearic Islands, but AEMET forecasts a high of 36 degrees and a thermal sensation that will reach 44.
The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has activated the yellow warning for maximum temperatures in several regions of the Balearic Islands this Tuesday, but Manacor has escaped the alert. Nevertheless, the thermometer in the capital of Llevant will reach 36 degrees, with a thermal sensation that could soar to 44 degrees.
Few clouds and light breezes
The day will start with few clouds from dawn until 06:00 hours. From early morning, the clouds will tend to disappear, and the day will end with a scenario of few clouds, according to AEMET's forecast.
The minimum temperatures will remain around 22 degrees, while the maximums will vary very little compared to Monday, standing at 36 degrees. The wind will blow in the form of light breezes from the southeast, with no significant gusts expected.
Wednesday and Thursday: more heat and no rain
Looking ahead to Wednesday, AEMET forecasts a mostly clear day, with an increase in maximum temperature and a minimum that will remain unchanged. Thermometers could rise to 37 degrees on Thursday, according to estimates, with completely clear skies. The wind will continue to be light, from the southeast.
For Thursday, the Agency rules out any precipitation: the day will feature a cloudless panorama. The minimums will continue around 22 degrees, and the breezes will be light.
Weekend: sun and stable heat
The weekend will bring few clouds on Saturday and completely clear skies on Sunday. Maximum temperatures will remain above 35 degrees on Saturday, with a minimum of 23 degrees. On Sunday, the maximum will experience few changes and the minimum will remain stable.
The wind will blow in the form of gentle breezes from the east on Saturday and from the northeast on Sunday, which will not relieve the feeling of heat. Residents of Manacor should take extra precautions, especially during the peak hours of the day, and stay hydrated.
“Temperatures will be very high, but since the yellow warning is not activated, there is no official alert. Nevertheless, we recommend avoiding sun exposure between 12 and 17 hours,” say sources from Civil Protection.
AEMET reminds that this data is provisional and recommends checking periodic updates. For the coming days, the trend points to stable heat, with no precipitation in sight, inviting enjoyment of beaches and pools in moderation.
