The State Meteorological Agency forecasts temperatures of up to 39 degrees for Manacor on Tuesday, with clear skies and a yellow alert in the Balearics.

The mercury will not relent in Manacor over the coming days. According to the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), the Mallorcan town will record a maximum of 39 degrees on Tuesday, the highest of the week, with completely clear skies and light winds from the southwest.

The yellow alert for maximum temperatures activated in the province of the Balearic Islands for this Sunday will not affect Manacor, where the day will pass with radiant sunshine and no clouds. The maximums will reach 36 degrees at 5:00 PM, while the minimums will stay at 19 degrees. Light breezes will blow from the northeast.

For the residents of Manacor, these values serve as a warning: the heat will progressively increase until Tuesday, when the thermometer could touch 39 degrees. The minimums will also rise slightly, to 20 degrees, making the nighttime respite more difficult.

Monday, the precursor to the heat peak

On Monday, the sky will remain clear in Manacor, with a maximum of 37 degrees and minimums of 19. The wind will be calm from the east. Although the day will be hot, it will still be a couple of degrees below the peak expected for Tuesday.

AEMET recommends that the public avoid sun exposure during the hottest hours of the day, stay hydrated, and pay special attention to the elderly and children. In Manacor, the City Council has reminded that municipal cooling shelters will be open during the hottest hours.

Tuesday, the hottest day of the week

Tuesday will be the warmest day of the week in Manacor. Temperatures will range between 20 and 39 degrees, with clear skies and light winds from the southwest. No rain is expected, so the feeling of mugginess will be intense.

These values are above the historical average for a July in the Llevant region, according to AEMET data. Last year, around this time, the maximums in Manacor did not exceed 35 degrees.

The yellow alert for heat in the Balearics will remain active at least until Tuesday, although AEMET does not rule out extending it if temperatures remain extreme. Residents of Manacor can check updated forecasts on the agency's website.

In case of an emergency due to heatstroke, 061 is the contact number. It is also recommended to follow the official accounts of Civil Protection and the City Council of Manacor to stay informed about the alert's evolution.
