The Institute of Equestrian Sports of Mallorca participates in the Amateur and Owners Club Day, which will be held on Saturday, July 11, at the Manacor Hippodrome with races, exhibitions, and the presence of figures from sports and gastronomy.

Next Saturday, July 11, the Manacor Hippodrome will become the epicentre of Balearic trotting with the celebration of the Amateur and Owners Club Day. The Institute of Equestrian Sports of Mallorca is actively participating in this event, which promises to combine sport, entertainment, and a family atmosphere.

Luxury Guests and Scoring Events

The day will feature the attendance of the Executive Councillor for Environment, Rural Affairs, and Sports of the Mallorca Council, Pedro Bestard, as well as the president of the Balearic Trotting Federation, Juan Antonio Rosselló Comas, and representatives from the Amateur and Owners Club.

During the evening, the scoring events of the Amateur Tournament will take place, a competition that pits the best non-professional drivers on the island against each other. Additionally, one of the highlights will be the tandem exhibition race, where amateur drivers will share a sulky with prominent personalities from the worlds of sport, gastronomy, and communication.

Confirmed participants include Miquel Calent, Miquel Soler, Chichi Soler, Toni Prats, Maria Barceló, Marta Ferrer, and Jovan Stankovic. All of them will get into the sulkies with the aim of bringing trotting to new audiences and offering a different experience to attendees.

A Family Event

The event is not limited to races. Before the tandem exhibition, the public will have the chance to share a moment with the guests in a designated area for photos and autographs. A unique opportunity for fans of sports and equestrianism.

Councillor Pedro Bestard has highlighted the importance of this day:

“This day is a magnificent example of how trotting can unite sport, participation, and entertainment. The involvement of the Amateur and Owners Club and the presence of such well-known individuals allow us to bring this sport to new audiences and continue promoting a passion that is part of Mallorca's sporting and cultural heritage.”

For the residents of Manacor and the Llevant region, this event represents an opportunity to enjoy a traditional sport in a festive environment. The Manacor Hippodrome, located on the road to Cales de Mallorca, is a venue with extensive experience in organizing equestrian events, and a large turnout is expected.

The day will kick off in the afternoon and continue until dusk, with affordable prices and free entry for minors. A perfect occasion to discover trotting alongside well-known faces and, in the process, cheer on the amateurs competing for the tournament.
