The municipality of Ses Salines will celebrate its patron saint festivities of Sant Bartomeu from August 14 to 26. The programme includes events for all audiences.

The Town Hall of Ses Salines has presented the programme for the Sant Bartomeu 2026 festivities, which will take place from August 14 to 26 in the municipality. The schedule, which combines traditional, musical, and family events, will turn the streets of the village and the Colònia de Sant Jordi into the stage for twelve days of celebration.

The festivities will kick off on Friday, August 14, with the opening speech and the firecracker, which will lead into a week and a half of activities designed for all audiences. The programme includes street parties, concerts, children's events, and sports activities, as well as religious ceremonies in honour of Sant Bartomeu, the patron saint of the locality.

One of the highlights will be the main day, August 24, the feast day of Sant Bartomeu, featuring a solemn mass and a procession through the streets of the historic centre. The day will be rounded off with music and traditional dancing, as detailed by the council in the official programme.

The programme also reserves a prominent space for activities for the little ones, with workshops, games, and children's shows taking place during the mornings and afternoons of the festive days. The night street parties, featuring orchestras and DJs, will be the main attraction for the younger audience, while sports enthusiasts can participate in futsal, petanque, and other tournaments.

The Town Hall of Ses Salines has organised, once again, a programme that seeks to involve the entire municipality, including the Colònia de Sant Jordi, which will also host several events during the festivities. The offering is completed with gastronomic proposals and traditional activities such as fire runs or human towers, although the definitive programme can be consulted on the municipal website.

The Sant Bartomeu festivities are one of the most anticipated events on the summer calendar in Ses Salines. Last year, attendance exceeded expectations, and the council hopes to replicate the success. Events will begin each day from 7:00 PM in the Church square, except for specific morning activities, and the closing will take place on August 26 with a fireworks display.
