Franco Listorti has completed the walk around Mallorca after 27 days and nearly 500 kilometres. He arrived this Saturday at the Seu de Palma, where family, friends, and followers were waiting for him.

Franco Listorti, known on social media as @pinchitopancho, has achieved his goal: to walk around Mallorca. This Saturday night, after 27 days of journey, he arrived at the Cathedral of Palma, the same starting point. He was met with applause and hugs from family, friends, and followers who followed his challenge through over 87,000 followers on Instagram.

A route of nearly 500 kilometres

The route started from the Seu towards Santa Ponça, continued through the Serra de Tramuntana, and circled the entire island. Listorti covered nearly 500 kilometres, enduring high temperatures and sleeping in hammocks or inflatable mattresses thanks to the help of locals. "It has been an incredible but tough experience," he explained upon arrival.

During the journey, he faced everyday problems such as finding accommodation during the peak tourist season. Several nights he spent under the stars or in the homes of people he knew through social media. "People have been very generous," he added.

Rediscovering the island step by step

The adventure began after returning from a trip to Southeast Asia. Listorti realised he knew other countries better than Mallorca, where he has lived since he was five years old. He then decided to walk around it, with little planning, documenting each stage on social media.

His posts went viral quickly. Thousands of people followed each stage, from the landscapes of Tramuntana to the coves of Llevant. "I wanted to show the real Mallorca, the one that doesn't appear in tourist guides," he commented.

The arrival at the Seu was the crowning moment. His parents, Walter and Romina, hugged him as soon as he crossed the finish line. "I am very proud of him," his mother said tearfully. Listorti, visibly emotional, stated: "Challenge accomplished."

An example of perseverance for the locals

The challenge has inspired many Mallorcans. Several followers approached to congratulate him and to ask him about the best spots on the island. "He has encouraged me to do hiking routes I didn't know about," explained a local from Palma.

Listorti now plans to rest for a few days, but does not rule out new challenges. "Maybe a walk around the peninsula, but with a lighter backpack," he joked. For now, his feat is already part of Mallorca's summer chronicle.
