PalmaActiva's Business Centre has hosted 31 companies and 40 entrepreneurs between January and June 2026. The premises and offices maintain total occupancy for the fourteenth consecutive year.

PalmaActiva's Business Centre has closed the first half of 2026 with 31 companies hosted and 40 entrepreneurs developing their activities in its facilities. This municipal space, managed by the Palma City Council, thus maintains its role as a breeding ground for projects linked to the creative economy.

The venue, located in the Balearic capital, has 15 street-level premises, 7 offices, and a coworking space with 12 spots. According to data provided by PalmaActiva, the premises and offices record a 100% occupancy for the fourteenth consecutive year, while the coworking space stands at 70%, with spots still available.

The Councillor for Commerce, Restoration and Self-Employed and president of PalmaActiva, Lupe Ferrer, has highlighted that this full occupancy "demonstrates the usefulness of this resource to boost new business projects." Ferrer has encouraged entrepreneurs to submit their applications, reminding them that "the waiting list is ordered by score and, thanks to the natural rotation of companies, the access times are usually short."

The coworking space, for its part, presents itself as "an excellent opportunity for entrepreneurs looking for a workplace in a central location, at a reduced cost, and the advantage of sharing an environment with other professionals," in the words of the councillor. Additionally, from this year, the stay period in this space has been extended from 2 to 5 years.

The companies hosted during the semester belong to sectors of the creative economy: 10 are from communication and marketing, 5 from audiovisual services, 4 from architecture, 3 from new technologies, 1 from engineering, and 8 develop other activities. Projects wishing to access must be linked to areas such as new technologies, IT, video games, telecommunications, robotics, R&D, communication, marketing, advertising, publishing, audiovisuals, photography, design, cultural management, architecture, and intellectual capital.

For interested entrepreneurs in Palma, applications are processed through the PalmaActiva website, where the bases and necessary documentation can also be consulted. The natural rotation of companies means that, according to the council, waiting times are reduced.
