The Balearic Symphony Orchestra will begin subscription renewals for the 2026-2027 season on September 7, which includes eleven concerts at the Auditorium in Palma and an exclusive recital in the cathedral.

The Balearic Symphony Orchestra has announced that subscription renewals for the 2026-2027 season will start on September 7. New subscribers will be able to purchase their passes between September 21 and 30, while individual tickets will go on sale on October 2. The programme will run from October to May at the Auditorium in Palma, with a total of eleven concerts.

Prices and benefits of the subscription

The full subscription for the eleven concerts is priced at 300 euros in the stalls and 225 euros in the amphitheatre. According to the orchestra's manager, Cristina Martínez, subscribers save 85 euros compared to purchasing individual tickets. Additionally, they will have access to an exclusive concert in the chapel of Palma Cathedral, scheduled for December 18.

Martínez highlighted that the subscription also includes pre-concert talks for five of the concerts, designed to engage the audience with the works. “We want the experience to be complete and for young audiences to feel attracted to symphonic music,” she stated.

Programme featuring international and local artists

The cycle will bring together internationally renowned conductors and soloists, such as cellist Kian Soltani, guitarist José María Gallardo del Rey, and conductor Lorenzo Passerini. The premiere of a work by Mallorcan composer Gabriel Estarellas has also been confirmed, reinforcing the connection with local talent.

The season includes seven concerts that will be repeated at the Auditori de Manacor, aiming to decentralise cultural offerings. “The orchestra is not just for Palma, but for all of the Balearics,” Martínez emphasised. The programme will also reach Menorca and Ibiza, although dates have yet to be confirmed.

Local angle: how it affects the audience in Mallorca

For residents of Palma, the renewal of subscriptions represents the opportunity to secure a seat in a season that combines major international names with accessible proposals. Residents of Manacor will be able to enjoy seven of the concerts without travelling to the capital, reducing geographical barriers. Furthermore, the concert in Palma Cathedral is an exclusive incentive for subscribers, who will experience a unique event in a heritage setting.

The orchestra continues its commitment to developing new audiences with the pre-concert talks, an initiative that has been well received in previous editions. Interested parties can consult the full programme on the Symphony’s website starting September 7.
