The Algaida Town Council has added a legal technician to its staff thanks to the SOIB-Oportunitats 2026-2027 programme, co-financed by the EU. The grant received amounts to €35,791.90.
The Algaida Town Council has incorporated a legal technician into its municipal staff through the SOIB-Oportunitats d'Ocupació per a Persones Joves Qualificades en Entitats Locals 2026-2027 programme. The hiring is subsidised with €35,791.90.
The call, promoted by the SOIB, finances the labour costs and social security contributions of unemployed youth aged between 18 and 30 who are registered as job seekers and beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System. The programme is co-financed by the Sectoral Conference on Employment and Labour Affairs and the European Union through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+).
The mayor of Algaida, Margarita Fullana, has positively assessed the incorporation and emphasised the importance of having programmes that offer job opportunities to qualified young people. “These opportunities allow young people to gain experience in a real work environment and put into practice the knowledge they have acquired during their training,” she stated.
The new legal technician will perform tasks in line with their qualifications, strengthening municipal services. With this hiring, the council continues its commitment to promoting youth employment and generating opportunities for qualified young people in the municipality.
The grant awarded to the Algaida Town Council is part of a line of aid aimed at local entities in the Balearic Islands. The contract execution period is framed within the 2026-2027 period, according to the call's bases.
The incorporation of qualified personnel allows the Algaida Town Council to improve legal assistance to residents, a service that is key for processing files and advising citizens.
